Summer Fun

Our summer got off to a great start with a visit from our old neighbors the Strain's. We really miss having them as neighbors. We took the kids to the zoo and they had a wonderful time.

Of course Jack loved spending time with the goats. He got to brush their hair and pet them. We also got to walk through the new Kangaroo exhibit.

Our garden tripled in size this year. We have picked several cucumbers and peppers. All our tomatoes are green now but will be red soon. The beautiful artwork is by Jack.

We decided it was time for Jack to sleep in a big boy bed. He was very excited to have a big boy room. We took him to the new splash pad at our local park. He is the little boy in the white shirt running with all the big boys. He did not want to play with the little boys.

It seems like it has rained almost everyday so it was nice to have one beautiful day to take him to the park. He really enjoyed playing in the water.

However, he saw the playground and was ready to go play.

He loves sliding so he was excited to find this really big slide.

A trip to the park would not be complete without a visit to the train car. He had to check it all out and exam each piece.

Jack never really eats sweets but.....since it is summer I baked him a cake. Every time he walks by the cake he wants to eat a piece. More fun summer activities will be coming soon.

Easter

Jack loves watching people open Kinder eggs on YouTube so he was super excited about Easter. His daycare had an egg hunt and all the kids were excited. He even got a new basket for the hunt.

After school we came home and dug his Easter basket out of the attic. We had to put it out early for the Easter Bunny because we had to go out of town. He kept looking for the eggs under the grass. He finally left it outside for the Easter Bunny.
We left and headed to Guntersville to eat at Top O' the River. The lake was so nice at sunset so Jack had to take a picture with is cousin Jordan. We visited with family and then headed home to see what the Easter Bunny left.

We got home really later so Jack was excited when he woke up at home and the Easter Bunny had left him a prize. He saw all the eggs and wanted to start opening them outside. We finally got him to come in and open the eggs.

He got chocolates and let plastic dinosaurs inside his eggs. He really did not care what was inside the eggs....he was just excited to open all the eggs.

When he had opened all the eggs he was ready to eat the candy.

Best Friend

Jack loves Buppy (Bucky) and Bear Bear (Bear). He is always checking up on them, making sure they are inside, and making sure they are in bed. They are his best buddies.

Bucky is really smart. He jumped up in Jacks chair ready to eat. Jack just hugged him and giggled. Bucky just inched closer and closer trying to get a bite.

Party

Jack had an exciting fun filled 3rd Birthday. He was a little shy when everyone started singing Happy Birthday, but he tried his hardest to blow out the candles.

While Jack opened his gifts everyone had cake, cupcakes, and cookies.

Jack enjoyed ripping the paper off all his gifts. His friend Lincoln stood beside him to check out all the  cool new toys.

Even though it was an over cast cold day the kids loved the bouncy house. Jack had a great time.

Happy Birthday Jack

It's hard to believe Jack just turned 3. Brent picked up a big cupcake with Toy Story characters on it. Jack blew out the candles and we thought he was going to make a mess of the cake.

We were wrong....he just wanted the character rings off the cake. I think he took two bites and was done.

He really wanted to go to the movies and see Frozen. However, he cannot sit still so we did not take him. It was funny that Frozen was released on DVD the day after his birthday. He was so excited when he got it. We have watched it everyday (sometimes twice a day). We are having his birthday party with all his friends from school soon. He is getting excited because I started hanging up the decorations.
