Summer Break Ends

Summer break has come to an end....yes Jack and I have started back to school. Before the break was over we returned to the Zoo for some more fun. Of course when we got their Jack wanted to get wet. He likes to say, "See, see, see" when he wants you to help him see something.

We went to Jack's favorite area and he ran right in to see the goats. Because it was Zoo members night there were not many people there so he got to play with the goats for awhile.

The camels are new to the Zoo. Jack was not interested in them, he just wanted to chase the goats. I got this action shot of these goat that were fighting.
Jack got to ride the train this time and Brent rode with him. It was funny to see Brent trying to fit into the train car. Jack waved bye and they were off.

The Zoo also had the fun jumping things out. He had a hard time waiting his turn but was super excited when he got inside.

Then it was time to ride the carousal. We had to wait in line for a long time and it was getting close to bedtime. I was going to ride with him but he wanted Daddy to ride.

By the time everyone got on he was calling for Mommy and would not sit. So Brent just held him and they rode.
Summer could not come to an end without enjoying a fun cookout with friends. This was our July 4th celebration, a week late because it rained all of July 4th weekend. The kids were catching little men that fell from one of the fireworks. Unfortunately we had to leave before the fireworks really got going.

Lastly we took Jack to buy new school shoes. We have to take him to the Stride Rite store (because he wears and extra wide) so we ate dinner at Johnny Rockets. Jack wore the hat for a little while. I think Brent ended up wearing it more.

Vegatables

Our garden has done really well this year and Jack has enjoyed picking vegetables. He really likes pulling up onions. He likes to look at all the vegetables in the basket. He also likes to throw them out of the basket.

One of our tomato plants is about 6 feet tall. Jack looks really short next to it. He really wanted to eat this jalapeno. He was more excited when he found another jalapeno in the basket.

Our 4th of July was rained out however, Brent was able to grill out on the 7th. Brent always cuts Jacks corn off the cob. However, Jack has decided he likes it on the cob. I shared some of mine with him and before I knew it he had ate it all.
