Seven Years

So last weekend was our seven year anniversary. I got Brent a Keurig coffee maker and he got me a Pandora bracelet. We did not go out to eat at a fancy restaurant for our anniversary...we just went to the Wilson County Fair. It was really great and Jackson really loved it. The tent we went into first was the chicken and rabbit tent. This chicken was the grand champion. There were some really pretty chickens in this tent.

Then Jack saw these gators and he just had to climb on them. He just liked climbing on and off and on and off. However, he just had to climb on the most expensive one.

This really has nothing to do with us going to the Fair but just look in the background of this photo....I was really surprised to see these men at the Wilson County Tennessee Fair. But it was the Fair and we did see some different things. Brent said they should be giving deodorant away for free there.
We then went to see some more animals that Jack could touch. He just loved petting the goats.

He just loved these baby goats. He kept going back to their pen and looking at them. They would just lay there and he would pet them.
So I gave Brent the camera to take a picture of Jackson and I with the sheep <-------- this is what I got a picture of. We finally got our picture with the sheep.

Before we left the tent we had to go back and see the baby goats again. He would just squat down and look at them. Then we saw the first place hay art.

The Fair is not complete without a popsicle and seeing a clown. He ate all of that popsicle himself and did not make that big of a mess. I took him to see the clown and figured I would have to stand with him. However, he did not need me to stand with him. He just liked to watch the clown.

There was this little old village where the Fair was located so we got to walk though it and check it out. We took our picture in front of the funeral home. Then we saw the old repair shop. Jackson was so excited about looking in and see this motorcycle. His big head would just not fit thought the bars.

There was a tractor pull and we walked past it and looked for a minute. Jackson just loved the old tractors that made him look so small. He also liked this old moonshine trailer.

There was a fun photo area set up so we had to take our picture. We stopped and played in the water for a minute. It was a very hot day so the water felt great.

Jackson got to ride on the log with the scarecrows. Then we saw this big horse making ice cream. See that guy checking his shoes? Well you know what he is checking them for. I put Jack down and of course he ran behind the horse and wanted to touch all the poop behind the horse.

Then we saw some alpacas and this beautiful lama. We waited in line for a while to take our picture with it. This lama had beautiful hair and these beaded earring things. We were lucky we did not get spit on my the lama or the alpacas. The lama looked like it was pretty tired of little kids touching it.

Then Jack saw this cornmeal mill. He ran up to it just to watch. We went in and they were making cornmeal that day. We also saw a man making brooms, a lady sewing with an old sewing making, and a lady making pot holders with a loom.
Then we heard the gun shots and had to see what was going on. There was a civil war reenactment group shooting guns. They also had these cannons so we had to get a picture. We went to see the cars at the car show. There were some really cool cars. We watched the rides and Jack liked to watch them go up and down and around and around. We also saw the horse show and the donkey show. It was a great family day and a really nice Fair. Oh and we did eat some fried Oreos and they were great.
