Trip to the Zoo

The weather has been so nice we decided to go to the Nashville Zoo. When we walked in this nice man took our picture. Of course this is the only family photo we got and I look terrible. The first thing we saw was this little cave to crawl in and you got to come up this tube in the meerkat area. It was pretty cool.

When we saw the fish in this tank Jack just chased them around. He got tired of riding in the stroller and he would not stay on the path so Brent gave him a ride.

Then we went inside to see the birds. We did not see any bird because we had to get out of there. It was hot and wet like a rain forest.

Then we saw some more fish and gators. Jack just pushed up against the glass. We took our picture with the flamingos. This zoo was really open. When we got close to the flamingos you could almost touch them.

Then we saw this cheetah. Jack really liked watching this big cat move around.

There was this cool petting zoo area. This little girl was petting the wallaby so Jack had to pet it also. I think the wallaby liked it because he was backed up to the fence.

Then he saw the goats and wanted to pet them. We also got to brush the goats hair. These were the fattest goats I have every seen. They have a good life at the zoo.
Then we came to the play area. There was this toddler area that was padded with this springy stuff. He loved running and playing. I guess he was having so much fun he had to stop and rest. All the others kids were playing and he was just laying there.

But he finally got back up and started running around again. Brent took him to the big play area. There was this cool three story tree house. It looked like something you see on TV.
Brent took him out on the bridge and then let him go in the snake's mouth.

When we went to the slide his hair started standing up. This place was so cool. However, there were lots of little kid spots that adults could not fit it.

Back to the animals....we saw the elephants and took our picture with the giraffes (Jack wore his giraffe shirt just for this picture).

We put on some zoo mask and took a fun picture. It was a great day to go to the zoo and we really enjoyed it. Below is a preview of Jackson's Halloween costume. Can you guess what he is going to be?

  1. Looks like Jack had a great time! Not sue about the Halloween outfit, but I thought he was going to be Big Al.
    looking forward to your visit.
