Busy Busy Busy

It seems like we have been so busy lately. Going here there an everywhere. Jackson has also gotten very busy getting into everything. I was sitting on the couch and saw Jacks in the bathroom rolling the TP roll. Thank goodness someone was to lazy to put a new roll on. But he loves to just roll that roll. So if you come to our house and the TP is not on the roll it is that way for a reason.

It also seems like Bucky has gotten a little jealous lately. Every time I get the camera out he runs to be in the picture. Jackson has even been trying to walk and we are cheering him on and Bucky runs up to him and knocks him down kissing him.

We have a big pile of toys in our living room but guess what Jacks just plays with everything else. He go these 2 hangers and they were so entertaining. For his B'day maybe we will just by him hangers.

We have also been seeing a lot of this head standing. He is trying so hard to get up on two legs. That head is just so heavy. But he works on it everyday.
Pop's (my Dad) birthday was on Fri, Feb 10th so since I am a great knitter know I had to knit him something. I knitted him a hood. His head gets cold and he cannot use his hands to do anything, so wearing a hat is out of the question. Jackson made the perfect model for this hood.

We work up early Sat morning to go to Pop's and it was snowing!! For just a min. I put on the Frosty hat and we ran outside for a pic. Then we got in the car to go to Pop's house.

Pop liked his B'day present and Jacks liked playing at his house. Jacks got to ride on the wheel chair but did not get to drive this time. He really wanted to drive but after the last wreck he did not get to. He played so hard at Pop's. He was into everything. Then Great Gran came over for a visit and Jacks was so excited to see her. When we got home Charlie Brown Valentine was on and Jacks just loved watching it. He stood there and just watched and watched. It was a great weekend.

The weekend

Well Jackson woke up Saturday morning with crazy hair as usual. Only this time he looked like he had horns on his head. Brent said he had his hair. I am just glad he does not have my hair. Jacks put on his new hooded shirt that our neighbors gave him for Christmas. He was a little confused about the actually hood. He did not know how to take it off. Then he finally got to wear his cowboy boots. So I took Brent and his picture with their boots on. The boots came off before we even left the house.

It was nice enough that we finally got to go outside and use our "new" swing set. It is new to us, but it is a hand-me-down (and we love hand-me-downs). Thanks to the Strains for giving us the swing set. I know Jacks will enjoy it soon.

Then we headed to Gadsden to start buying birthday supplies and a new birthday outfit. We went to Hobby Lobby and I just had to take his picture in the birthday hat but, I did not buy it. I am making him one. I don't know when it will be finished because it is going to be crochet so I will have to teach myself how to do that. First I have to finish Pop John's birthday present. I always have a couple of crafts going at once.

Sick

I have not posted anything in a while because Jackson and I have been sick. I went to the Dr 2 Mondays ago and found out I had pink eye and had to be out of work Tue and Wed. On Wed Jackson stayed home with me because he was running a fever. Then Thur Brent picked him up at daycare, so on Fri Brent took him to the Dr. and he had an ear ache. Then this week I got some kind of stomach virus on Wed night and stayed home on Thur and slept all day long. Maybe we are all well know and back to normal.

We taught Jacks to clap a couple of weeks ago, but he really did not do it unless you did it first. But, now he just claps all the time. When he gets excited about anything he just claps. Since he has been sick he has kind of been lazy with the walking. He can crawl somewhere faster so he just crawls. However, he is getting better at balancing and standing up longer.

I guess Bear has warmed up to him also. Bear still growls at him but he is kissing Jacks now. Jackson also wore his first pair of big boy blue jeans that buttoned and zipped. He may not wear them to often because they are a pain to get on and off. Also, now that he is moving around everything has to be moved.

Jackson is 10 months old!

Well Jacks is now 10 months old and walking. He is not up running around but he is taking a couple of steps away from the couch. And there have been lots of falls. I guess I need to start planning the BIG 1st birthday party because it will be here so soon. I cannot believe it has been 10 months!!!!!

He loves to push his little blue car his Uncle Justin got him for Christmas. He also still loves shoes. He wants to put all of them in his mouth. But this time daddy put his feet and legs in his boots.

He is also opening every cabinet in our house. He is finding things we forgot we had, like these old 3-D movie glasses. He is also a fan of the old VHS tapes we have. I don't know why we keep them we don't even own a VHS player!

I started Weight Watchers at work 2 weeks ago. I kind of stopped going after Thanksgiving. But I lost 1 lb in a week! I am off to a good start.

I also just finished knitting myself a cowl. I knitted it in the round and it was suppose to have 1 twist and it had 2. I did not like it so I pulled it apart and I am going to start over. I will post a pic when I complete it.

Brent's B'day

Brent's birthday was this week so we had chocolate peanut butter cup cupcakes from Jillybeans. This is the new cupcake and ice cream store on the square in J'ville (they are not on Weight Watchers but they were so good). Brent also got a Alabama National Championship shirt (sorry forgot to take B'day pics). We were suppose to go out to eat Saturday night and our neighbor was going to keep Jacks but he was a little sick. It seems like every other week he gets a runny nose and it comes with a fever. I don't like to even take him outside when he is sick.

We were suppose to go to visit Brent's family today and I was suppose to go to a shower but....Jacks had a fever and I did not want to take him in and out of the car a million times. However, I did make the gift for the shower myself so I wanted to post pics of it. I really wised I knitting when Jackson was born because the newborn things are so cute.

This is a baby cocoon. It is for a girl but I did not want to make a bunch of pink stuff. I saw the cutest new born pic with babies in these. I made a baby headband to go with it. The color is peacock (I did not want to make a pink one) it is much prettier when you see it. I thought the bow was a little big but a lady at work told me the bigger the better. Leigha they do have an adult size if you would like one.

I did have to make something with some pink. I made this ear flap hat that is suppose to look like a bear. I hope it does? It kind of looks like a mouse. But those pic of newborns with animal hats on are so cute.

Best Friends

Well it took 9 months but Bucky finally decided he likes Jacks. Since we brought him home from the hospital Bucky as ran from him. All of the sudden he is just kissing all of Jackson. Bear is still ignoring him. Bear is just old and set in his ways.

I finished my hounds tooth scarf in time for the big game (just a side note, I had to teach myself how to crochet to make a boarder for my scarf because it was rolling) and Jacks and I were ready. Of course Alabama won. Jacks could not make it to the end of the game...however, he did wake back up to see the end. Maybe one day he will sleep all night. All Dr. Ebba could tell me was good luck.

No matter what we do Jacks hair is just crazy. It is not curly yet...but it is wild.

Brent also usually gets Jackson dressed in the morning and sometimes the shirt is on backwards or inside out. So Brent changed Jacks diaper one evening and forgot to button the oneies. So he just buttoned the oneies over the pants (don't call DHR).

Back to normal

Well the house is back to normal. Where the Christmas tree once stood is a big bucket of toys.

There were so many toys we had to get Jackson a toy bucket for the living room and one for his bedroom. He has plenty to play with now!

Now the Christmas is over and I made gifts for everyone else, I started on something for myself. I thought I would make a hounds tooth scarf. It may take me a while to finish it but so far so good.
