Spring Break

We decided to take Jack to the Aquarium in Gatlinburg for his birthday. Of course we did a lot more then just go to the Aquarium. We first had to stop by the river and look at the ducks. There were lots of carvings of black bears. We would tell him it was a bear and he would say Bucky.

When we were in Pigeon Forge Jack saw a hot air balloon and started chasing it saying "ball, ball". Brent had to chase him down in the parking lot because he really wanted to get that ball.

The Aquarium was wonderful. He loved looking at all the fish. They had a really cool tunnel you walked though and all the sharks swam over you. Jack really liked the moving walkway (flat escalator). He wanted to put one foot on it and one on the ground. He just could not figure the thing out.

There were lots of fun things to touch and places to play at the Aquarium. Brent was brave enough to crawl in the cave with Jack. The penguins were the last thing we saw and Jack loved watching them. He just laughed at them as they played.

We did make a stop by the park to play. He has gotten so big he climbs to the top by himself and slides down the big slide by himself. Jack liked skipping rocks the best. He even got so excited he walked into the water.

We stopped by a soda fountain and got an ice cream. Jack had to sit on the stool like a big boy. I got chocolate ice cream and I think Jack ate more then I did.

We stopped at the Moon Pie general store to get a Moon Pie. Jack does not say a lot but he can say Moon Pie. He really likes the banana ones but that day he had a strawberry and loved it as well. Jack had a great time he even got to swim in the hot tub one night.
