The past week started out pretty rough. One night Jackson threw up all over me, himself, and the floor. Of course he did not want to be put down after throwing up. So I was covered in throw up and he was cover in throw up and we just rocked covered in throw up. And don't you know someone wanted to come see the house the next day. So I hurried and tried to clean the throw up up from the carpet. Jack has really been wanting under the bed (because the dogs hide from him under there). Well he got under the bed and got his head stuck. So it was a rough week.

On Friday Jackson and I got in the car and headed to see Daddy in Nashville. On the way to Nashville you have to drive up this curvy hill between two rock walls. On each side it says "Watch out for falling rocks" and they mean it. You can see the new fallen rocks on the side of the road. Once you get up the hill you have to drive down between two rock walls. Thank goodness no rocks fell on us.

On Saturday I went to a job fair for one of the county school systems (there are 48 schools in this system and 800 people showed up for the job fair). I did have some principal tell me to call them when I moved up. After the job fair it was time to get Jackson a big boy car seat. Time for him to face the front and see the world. He looks like such a big boy in his new seat (which was a pain in the butt to get in the car, that thing in not coming out and being moved from car to car and we sure cannot afford/don't want to buy another one, so Jackson will be going everywhere in my car, plus my car is the safest with the back tether and LATCH system). This new seat is so big there is no room in my back seat for another person. Well maybe another young child could fit back there but it would be a tight squeeze. However, this car seat got a 5 out of 5 star rating for safety. Safety is more important to me than having room for another passenger.

Well as you can see the new car seat put him to sleep until.....we saw the Blue Angel's air show and had to stop and watch. The jets were so loud they woke him up. So we rolled the windows up and he went back to sleep.

Sunday was Mother's Day and Brent had already sent purple (my favorite color) tulips to the house which made my week. Since we have to travel to see family I only ask for a couple of days 1. Thanksgiving day at my Dad's, 2. Christmas Day and the night of Christmas Eve at home, 3. and since Jackson has come along Mother's Day at home. And for this Mother's Day all I wanted was to rest. So on Sunday Brent cooked me a great breakfast and tried to give it to me in bed but, I got up because that would be a mess with Jackson. Then I went back to the bedroom by myself and rested until about 11AM. It was great! Then we got up and went out to eat at Macaroni Grill and walked around the Opry Mills Mall. It was a nice family day in our new home state. I just enjoyed being together as a family. There were so many people out at the mall and when we let Jackson out to run he would RUN right into people. I think he was just so excited about Mother's Day. The picture on the left is Jackson Mother's Day 2011 and on the right is Jackson Mother's Day 2012. He has grown so much.
When we got home we played really hard. Jack had one Bear and Bucky's balls he was playing with. He was holding it over his head and kept on losing it. Well....it kept getting caught in the collar of his shirt. He was walking in circles looking for that thing until it just magically appeared on the ground. He is so much fun.
Sounds like you all had a great weekend. Thanks for my Mothers Day card. Can't wait to come to Nashville and see my sweet Jack, i miss him so bad
